01 / STEP INTO A ROUND
Explore an example round. Move between stages or play the sequence to understand what each developer does — and why the group needs to start together.
ILLUSTRATIVE DEMO · NOT AN ACTIVE ROUND
Sign in with Google, complete your profile, and register the app you want tested. The queue brings together developers who need the same window.
Green dots illustrate check-ins on days 2 and 9. Drag to explore the window. Check-ins are self-reported; they do not verify use or Google Play opt-in.
This demonstration explains the planned platform flow. Sign-in, queue and rounds are still in development; the form below is a waitlist. No simulation data represents real participants.
RECIPROCITY IN PRACTICE
A round runs on more than a number on a screen. It needs the same commitment on both sides: while other developers spend time on your app, you do the same for theirs.
The commitment ↘02 / The commitment
The round needs everyone to participate. Know what you are agreeing to before joining.
Join the groups, opt in and install your assigned apps.
Stay opted in throughout the period. Use each app on at least 2 distinct days and record your check-ins.
Write at least 80 characters for 3 apps. Feedback is private; we do not ask for Play Store reviews.
Headroom starts on day one: 15 owners → 14 testers per app → up to 2 dropouts while retaining 12. A mid-round replacement cannot rescue the current window: the new tester needs their own 14 continuous days.
03 / Questions
Yes. Dozena is open source and free during the MVP. You test the other apps in your round and their developers test yours.
No. Dozena organizes testing; Google makes the final decision. Check-ins are self-reported and do not verify Google Play opt-in or usage.
With 15 owners, each app starts with 14 testers and can lose 2 while retaining 12. All must opt in before the testing window starts. A replacement joining later needs their own 14 continuous days; they cannot rescue the current window. With only 13 owners there is no dropout margin.
An Android app with a Google Play closed testing opt-in link, a Google Group, and time to test the other apps. The full product is still being built; this page collects interest for the first round.
04 / FIRST ROUND
Leave your email to receive an invitation when the first group is ready. The full product is still in development.
Dozena organizes testing. Google always decides production access.
